We are seeking a highly organised and tech-savvy Contract Manager to manage our clients subcontractor network and app-based supply chain system. This is a full-function role covering everything from onboarding new suppliers, assigning and auditing work, to invoicing.
You will be managing a diverse range of subcontractors, from one-man bands to large limited companies, ensuring all work meets Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The role is high-volume and fast-paced, predominantly in social housing repairs (approx. 80% of orders), with average values up to £500, and occasional larger projects up to £25,000.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Deploy and manage work for subcontractors at high volume using our app-based supply chain system.
-
Scope repairs and assign works using standard coding practices.
-
Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and manage invoicing for subcontractor work.
-
Onboard and train new suppliers on the app system, ensuring they can efficiently process, report, and complete work.
-
Monitor and audit subcontractor performance to ensure SLA and KPI compliance.
-
Maintain strong engagement with subcontractors of all sizes, resolving issues quickly to maintain service standards.
-
Provide accurate reporting and updates to the management team.
-
Handle a varied workload, balancing routine repairs with larger, complex projects.
Person Specification:
-
Proven experience in supply chain or contract management, ideally in construction or social housing.
-
Strong knowledge of repair and construction works.
-
Experience managing a diverse supplier base from sole traders to corporate companies.
-
Comfortable with technology-based supply chain systems and supplier training.
-
Excellent organisational, communication, and time-management skills.
-
Analytical mindset with the ability to track performance and improve processes.
-
Able to work under pressure in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Benefits:
-
Competitive salary of £50,000 per annum.
-
Supportive management team.
-
Exposure to a digital, app-based supply chain system.
-
Opportunity to manage a diverse and dynamic supplier network.
-
Variety of projects from small-scale repairs to larger value works.
